Local Society Newsletter Guidelines

State and Local Society Newsletter Guidelines 

1. Publish and distribute a minimum of THREE newsletters between March 1, 2026, and February 28, 2027.

 a. Upon publication: e-mail an electronic copy of each newsletter as soon as published (do not use U.S. mail) to newsletters@nscar.org. 

Newsletters will be reviewed for possible content use for the C.A.R. Magazine. 

b. To enter the C.A.R. Newsletter contest: submit your three best newsletters with a contest entry form by the National Contest deadline. 

2. Each newsletter must include: 

a. Page One 

i. Society Name 

ii. State 

iii. Date 

iv. N.S.C.A.R. website: www.nscar.org 

b. Society President Name and E-mail Address 

c. Senior Society President Name, Phone and E-mail Address 

d. 2026-2027 National Theme: Liberty’s Legacy 

e. Mention of the 2026-2027 National Project 

f. Article by a member, puzzle/game written by a member, including name of member and age 

g. Announcement of new members (no contact information) 

3. List of member and senior officers and chairs (one issue only); a separate society yearbook fulfills this requirement. 

4. State Societies ONLY 

a. Publish donation pins after September 1 (one issue)

3 Endowment Fund pins, 

Library Fund, 

Magazine Fund, 

Mountain Schools Fund, 

Museum Major Benefactor Red Apple, 

Niebell Fund, 

3 Operating Fund pins,
