Honoring Our Foundational History
Each year, the National President of the Children of the American Revolution selects a unique national theme and charitable project. For the 2026-2027 term, our society is proud to rally behind the national theme: “Liberty's Legacy.”
Through this program, the Charlestown Society will focus on educational outreach, honoring foundational early American history, and supporting the national fundraising goal.

Preserving Our Legacy Roots
The centerpiece of this year's theme is supporting historical preservation and public education regarding the early documents, ideas, and places that birthed American liberty.
Our local chapter members will participate in:
Educational Showcases: Creating presentations on the local patriots who helped secure liberty's legacy right here in our state.
Fundraising Campaigns: Selling official national project pins and merchandise, with 100% of proceeds sent to the National Society to support the designated national historic site preservation fund.
Community Outreach: Distributing educational pamphlets at local schools and libraries to teach younger children about the foundational principles of our nation.
🛠️ How Our Local Society is Participating
The Charlestown Society is bringing “Living Liberty’s Legacy: The Palmetto & The Parchment” to life through hands-on local initiatives:
Supporting the N.S.C.A.R. National Project
Supporting the S.C.SC.A.R. State Project
The Legacy Reading Challenge: A chapter-wide reading program focusing on early American history and biographies of revolutionary figures.
Patriot Landmark Tours: Organizing small, secure group field trips for our members to visit local historical markers that showcase our regional revolutionary history.
Sponsor Partnerships: Working closely with our sponsoring DAR and SAR chapters to host a joint historical workshop focused on tracing family lineages.
